Comets Vying for First Win

With the end of the season rapidly coming to a close, our Coleman Comets are looking to finally get a win in the 2016 season. The Comets will travel the 45 mile trip to Ashley this Friday with both teams coming into the game with 0-6 records. With only 94 students enrolled in their high school, Ashley is by far the smallest school in the Mid-State Activities Conference.

The Comets come into this game evenly matched with the Bears. Ashley's starting QB, Junior Nick Burlingame, is also their staring middle linebacker. The Bears also feature a very young and undersized offensive line, so look for Coleman's d-line to make some big plays this Friday. With an undersized team, anticipate the Comets to make some big plays on the offensive side as well; the Bears have been out scored this season 294-58

Prediction
Coming off a devastating Homecoming loss last Friday against the Mustangs of Montabella, the Comets are ready to rumble in this showdown against conference rival Ashley. Expect the Comets to score early in the first quarter; Ashley will fight back, as they are looking for their first win this season as well. The Comets will shut down the Bears defense with the power of QB Spence Pnacek and cruise to their first win of the season.

Coleman 24 Ashley 7
