Comets fall to Sacred Heart on senior night

The Coleman Comets lost a tough game vs Sacred Heart on Friday 48-12 while honoring 8 seniors in front of a packed crowd on senior night.  Sacred Heart jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead eventually going up 28-0 before Coleman could find an answer.  Spencer Pnacek connected on a post route for a 55 yard score putting the Comets on the board 35-6. The Irish were going for the dagger when Jason Beckner had other plans and jumped a corner route for a big interception at the goal line.

Tyler Stambersky had a big 72 yard touchdown reception in the second half giving him back to back big games and his fifth receiving touchdown of the season. Linebacker Karlos Moiser had another strong game defensively with 7 tackles and a sack. The Comets ultimately struggled to stop the aerial attack of Sacred Heart who's offense has been on fire in recent weeks and continued that trend on Friday.

The Comets look to rebound Friday night on the road at Valley Lutheran in the final game of the season
