The Comets Roll In Week 8!

The Comets came out Friday night with passion and fire to defeat Ashley. The Comets were forcing turnovers right and left, forcing three total including two fumbles and one interception. Even though Ashley put points on the board first, after that the Comets marched forward and never looked back. Spencer Pnacek led the charge by dropping dimes to Comet receivers through the whole game. Pnacek also threw a total of three touchdowns on the night, a season high for the Comets. The Comets went into halftime up 14 - 7 behind two touchdown passes to Tyler Stambersky. After halftime the Comets Smelled blood in the water with Ashley on their heals. The Comets score two more touchdowns in the third quarter to make the game out of reach. The highlight of the game was a 50 yard pick-six by the big fella Cody Finney. The Comets controlled most of the fourth quarter as the time expired for the Comets first victory 28 - 14. Our players of the game were Spencer Pnacek and Cody Finney. The Comets will be taking on Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart this Friday at home as they look for another W!
