In an exclusive interview we were able to get an in side look of what to expect coming from the comets next season and what he expects from his team going forward. We meet with a coach Chad Klopf, who is a Michigan Native from Saginaw Michigan. We asked coach how dose he think the season went, he responded;" Though we wanted more wins we had a productive season Doubling offensive out put and forcing more 4th down situations for the opposing team". We also asked coach how did he think this season would effect the development of the under classman and he said;" the was no real leadership for them to look up to so they had step up an really fill those shoe as the leaders of the team, I fill like they did that this year. We also addressed a few rumors that were floating around and on of they was the rumor about them playing 8 man football. he addressed and said;" I don't see that happing at least as long as I'm here". he went on to say that a few of the teams in the conference had brought it up and even meet the enrollment requirement but they where not going to be going to 8 man anytime soon.
Next season the Comets are going to be opening up with Farwell Again as they have in previous year but, unlike in previous years they are coming with some fire power With Jason Beckner, and Spencer Pnacek on the Offence and Karlos Moiser on the defense. I asked him about all of theses player and he said, that Jason was there top offensive performer this past season and they want to build and game plan around his skill set to really bust next season wide open. which should be hard with a receiver how averages almost 100 yard a game (89 ypg). He said that If Spencer cuts down on his INTs that he can be one of the best. he lead the school to their last two wins and he will be working with him this offseason to improve his mechanics this off season and also do some film study so he doesn't take so many shots in to coverage. Finally we asked him about Karlos Moiser who is the "jack of all trades" for this team. I asked could we possibly see him more involved in the offence he said;" its a possibility defiantly but he is just so valuable on the defense that we don't want him to get to beat up to bad trying to play both sides of the ball.
Coach Klopf is also the AD of the school and dose a fine job of it. he really believes in this team and the team believes in him they can only achieve greatness at this point and I believe that they will achieve it next season with a lot of hard work.
