There are so many things that go on during this hectic week. You have students getting ready for the dance this weekend, people putting in hours to work on floats for the homecoming parade, students dressing up every day of the week and of course, football practice and preparation. One of the days the students were all about patriotism for the country and dressed in red, white and blue. They also had a Hawaiian day where the two quarterbacks of the football team got involved.

No matter what age you are or what you were involved in during your high school years, everyone can always remember homecoming week. You can remember the energy throughout the school being so upbeat and lifting. The chants of your school's fight song being sang all week long. They're all great moments, but what everyone is really waiting for is that kickoff on Friday night.
Yes, there are a lot of events going on during this week, but what really matters at the end of the week is the football game. That game is what everyone is waiting for. The band playing the Comets fight song, while the crowd chimes in, the student section rocking the bleachers while the football team charges the field. That's what the entire spirit week is all about. It's about that electrifying environment! It's about those big plays and hard hits on the field that send goosebumps up and down your body.
The football team has participated in spirit week and has truly showed their pride in their school, but they have also showed an immense amount of dedication to their teammates and coaches by being prepared for the game tonight. Coach Klopf has kept the boys on the right track throughout the week. He said that it's great to celebrate, but the main focus should be on the game. All the players have bought into that and have showed commitment. Now they're looking for that first win of the season by taking on Montabella. Montabella hasn't won a game this season and the Comets know that only one team can come out on top. Tensions will be extremely high on that field tonight, but that's what makes for a great football game! So come out and get those bleachers rocking, cheer on your Comets and lets watch these boys bring home that W!
